Away.

AWAY

Standing there.

There. There. There.

Hush now.

Numb.

Every cell hurts.

My skin hurts.

It hurts. It hurts. It hurts.

Don’t touch me.

It hurts.

Don’t speak to me.

Too loud.

It hurts.

Don’t look at me.

It hurts.

Every little piece of me that has been blown apart; shattered…hurts.

Every single tiny piece.

Don’t touch me.

I’ll crumble to dust.

One gust and I will blow away.

Scattered by winds of words. winds of looks. winds of whispered concern.

How do I stay?

Careful. Careful. Careful.

I just might blow away.
